20250424 Scrum: Switch from consumption to production

...then, the current idea, from completely lacking motivation to work, is as follows. Instead of reading news, etc, and being generally unuseful, I will spend time *writing* news, or scrum updates, or 2d sketches, or whatever else that can be generated, rather than consumed.

The digital society puts a lot of emphasis no consumption. Coincidentally - just like the physical society does. And consumption is addictive. Everything is addictive, and streams of information are as addictive as, say, certain foods. Or tobacco. So we all got addicted to Tiktok, or the next fad, and we waste and waste our time on that.

The solution might be to swith from consumption to production - whatever the production might be. Produce cheap plastic stuff. Produce cheap worthless word salad. It is still better than consuming cheap worthless word salad.

So with that, I have a step forward: switch from consumption to production, however small, and move forward in this manner.

Another useful thing to do is, I think, to actually stop consumption. I noticed that as soon as I close, say, youtube, I open it right back again. And if I close it and keep it closed, I just sit there doing nothing, staring at the space in front of me.

Well, the current decision is to do the latter: not reopen youtube, and instead sit there staring at the space in front of me. It sounds unuseful (and it is), but still better than re-indulging in consumption.

The idea is that at some point, the un-usefullness will stop - I am a smart man, after all, and talented, and I hate hate hate wasting my time - and so at some point in the future I fully expect to re-start being productive, and maintain productivity going forward.
